Before we were married, the hubby and I used to go camping with his family. Recently, I was looking over my old photos and came across this. We went to the lighthouse in Montauk, climbed to the top and I snapped this picture. Love how blue the water looks! #imissthesummer

Two years have flown by! Faster with the second child!
I had planned a trip to Disney to celebrate Little Sisters second birthday (which was a few months ago). I wasn’t going to ALSO have a party for her. BUT….guilt set in and I eventually invited some family and friends for a little (and very simple) party.
I decided against a cake and instead went for 100 (Baked by Melissa) cupcakes that I “shaped” into a number “2”. They were amazingly delicious!!
Last minute I decided to make something for all of our guests to sign since I had done the same for Big Sister’s 2nd birthday. I melted some crayons on a blank canvas I had in my closet and had everyone sign with a sharpie!
We swam, had a pinata and ate!
She LOVED having everyone sing to her!
I made a felt tree for Big Sister when she was about 2 and have put it up every year. This year, our tree has a new home (since we moved in the summer) and another little girl who loves to decorate it!
A summer would not be complete without a trip up to Saratoga Springs! We have gone almost every summer since Big Sister was 8 months old.
The girls both know some of the jockey’s names and love watching the horses run by.
We had breakfast at the track, did a little shopping, betting and enjoyed walking in the quaint town.
Now, it is back to school and back to the reality of having a first (?!?) grader!

How is it September already?!?! Back to school, apple picking, leave raking time already?! Oh my!
In addition to the stress of moving, we managed to fit in quite a bit of other FUN things…
We swam.
We went to the Yankee Game.
We hung out with friends.
We were at countless Swim Team meets and practices.
We went to the Lake.
We went to the beach.
We had a really fun summer!! Can’t wait for #summer2017 !
