An App for everything!

August 18, 2015 By Cari@MakingOurMemories Leave a Comment

There really is an app for everything!!!

A little bit of background:  Around Father’s Day, me, hubby and my sister all bought FitBits.  We have “challenged” each other almost every day since.  If you follow me on Instagram, you may have even seen this post:)

I have come to be slightly obsessed with my FitBit and getting all my steps in.

So I think you can understand that when I lost it this morning I was panicked!!!

I searched all over!  I knew it was in the house somewhere because it kept syncing to my phone.

After 30 minutes, still no luck, I had to leave for work!

Still thinking about it, I googled “how to find a lost Fitbit”.  I found out that an app existed (creatively called “Find my Fitbit”) that could help locate your FitBit!  My day was turned around and I couldn’t wait to try it out.

When I got home, I right away got to work.  The signal strength was strongest in my girls’ room, so I started there.  I slowly stepped all around the room, and again the app told me where the strongest signal was coming from – the closet.  Big Sister helped me out and she felt like she was on a treasury hunt with Jake from the Neverland Pirates:)

After a few more minutes….I FOUND MY FITBIT!!!!  Hidden in the closet in a bag – I guess it had just fallen off when I was cleaning up this morning.  Without the app, I don’t know if I would have ever found it.

THANK YOU Find my FitBit APP!!!!!!!!

Weekend Wrap-up

August 3, 2015 By Cari@MakingOurMemories Leave a Comment

Phew!  The weekend went by SO fast!

Big Sister had swim lessons on Saturday morning.  She jumped off the diving board without any hesitation and worked on her strokes.  Hopefully next year she can join the swim team!!

We went to a friend’s 5th birthday party!  Both girls had a blast!!

Hubby’s birthday is coming up this week, so we celebrated a little early.

So much fun!  Can’t believe it is Monday already!!

{Not so} Wordless Wednesday

How has it been 6 months since I last wrote?!?!  I could name a million reasons why….but instead I decided to share a picture from this past weekend.

We went with friends up into the Adirondacks (upstate NY).  We brought the pack-n-play for Little Sister and I slept in a full size bed with Big Sister.  However, much like most nights, Little Sister woke up and wanted to snuggle at 3am, so I brought her into our bed.  Big Sister was SOOO excited.  She cuddled and loved on Little Sister – it was difficult getting the two of them back to sleep.  I snapped this shot not long after they both fell back asleep.  It makes my heart happy:)

Exercise after Baby

When I was on Maternity Leave, Little Sister and I enjoyed our daily walks.  We both enjoyed the fresh air and I loved being able to start exercising again!

My “exercise” now that I am back to work consists of walking during my lunch hour.  Hopefully soon, once our mornings get a little easier I can ease back into my pre-pregnancy morning exercise routine (I look forward to that day).

For now, at lunchtime, I try to get out of the building and head over to the local mall across the street.

Around the same time I was returning to work, I was given the Ozeri 4×3 Motion Pedometer to try.  I thought it would be a perfect addition to my lunch hour routine.  Every day I try to track my steps and slowly increase them.  The Ozeri 4×3 Motion Pedometer is lightweight and fits in my jacket pocket.

Pre-pregnancy, I was running 4 times a week in the mornings before work.  I know that once I get back into the routine, my Ozeri 4×3 Motion Pedometer will be in my pocket!

Thanks to Ozeri for sponsoring today’s post.  I was compensated with payment and/or free product, but all opinions are 100% my own.

Four Months

Little Sister is becoming such a big girl!!!  I loved being able to spend extra time with the girls around the holidays:)  Now we are all counting down the days until our Florida vacation in March!!

Little Sister and I have gotten into a little routine in the morning.  She wakes up, eats and then follows me around for about an hour, chatting for most of the time before Big Sister gets up.  I put her down for a little nap before I leave for work.

Looks like a bottom tooth might be coming in, so anything that she can get in her mouth makes her happy.

The activity mat is becoming less popular these days.  She prefers to stand up, look around and is especially happy when Big Sister and her Big Cousin are around to entertain her.  The exersaucer is slowly becoming a new favorite…for all of the girls:)

This month also starts our transition from bassinet to crib.  The biggest challenge being that the girls are sharing a room!
